Genetics:
Nate connects with Jeff and checks out Phat Panda’s giant genetic playground with over 200 strains in research and development.
Propagation:
Director of propagation, Brooke, shows Nate the mother room at Phat Panda and even lets him take some clones. Learn about the equipment and strategies Brooke uses to achieve a 95% cloning success rate. She shows off everything from fans and nutrients to their preventatives and IPM strategy. That’s how you take up to 1500 clones a week!
Vegetation:
Nate talks to Mohave in the veg room and learns about topping cannabis plants, beneficial mites, preventative sprays, and more in an effort to “stay preventative, not curative.”
Flowering:
Mohave takes Nate on a tour of the flower room. They talk strains, irrigation, flushing, and lollipopping with three layers of trellis. They also talk about the piece of equipment that has kept the facility free of powdery mildew for over two years.
Curing:
Nate checks out the curing protocol at Phat Panda. The secret? Take it slow.
Trimming:
Next stop is the “rainbow room” to see how Phat Panda trims their flower. See how they’re able to fill 12k joints a day and which US state’s yearly numbers that Phat Panda outsells every month. Then there’s the Boomstick, how many grams is that joint?
Extraction:
Dylan shows off a beautiful hydrocarbon extractor and evaporating ovens. Learn how they assure all you taste is the plant!
Processing:
Nate checks in with the manager of edible production and learns about their proprietary homogenized sugar that they use to produce 75k pieces of candy per week! Also, learn about their process that provides not only quick onset, but long lasting effects.
Packaging:
Compliance is the name of the game as Nate checks out the packaging process at Phat Panda and how a great marketing team is more important than ever.
